Reciprocating compressor stations

Klaster Trading House is offering a wide range of reciprocating compressors capable of handling different types of media – hydrocarbon gases, air, process gas, ammonia, propylene, freon and others. For compressing corrosive gases specially designed compressors can be used

The reciprocating compressors are related to the positive displacement type of machine and can be equipped with one to six cylinders, in which case the quantity of the cylinders is determined on the basis of throughput required and quantity of their compression stages. The principle of operation of a reciprocating compressor is based on the fact that gas enters the compressor’s cylinders through the self-suction valves and is compressed by reciprocating movement of the piston in the cylinder. Various technological processes may require oil-free gases, which is assured by the use of non-lube reciprocating compressors.

The reciprocating compressor’s throughput control can be implemented by a bypass line, valve unloaders, varying the cylinder’s clearance volume, gas throttling at suction as well as by changing the rotational speed of the compressor’s crankshaft. The drive unit of a reciprocating compressor may be composed of an electric motor or gasoline, diesel or gas engine. In each particular case, the selection of the type of drive is based on the compressor’s power required and availability of fuel reserves or electricity necessary to ensure its operation.

The reciprocating compressors are capable of compressing almost all types of gas in a wide throughput and pressure range, allowing obtaining pressures of up to 100 MPa (abs.) at discharge.

Klaster Trading House has vast experience in supplying reciprocating compressor stations and ensures performance of a complete work scope: from design to putting equipment into operation.
